Visitors!

November 4-9th:
Oh that feeling of picking up your parents at the airport and seeing them from a distance in the pick up zone. Ahh..is there anything better?! My dad was even wearing his Texas shirt for the occasion.

Thank goodness for family needing dental work every once in awhile. It's a good reason to take a trip to Texas. Yay! Mom and Dad came. Lexie, Nick, and Ayzlee drove down from Oklahoma... so it was a party! It's so nice to have these visits to look forward to (for months really). Then they come and go so fast. We'll take it though!
Dad's ready to be drilled on...
We took them to one of our favorite restaurants where we have breakfast almost every Friday.
They were fans of the blueberry sausage links.

Max has always loved my dad...but this week took their relationship to a whole new level! I don't know if it was the fact that papa was in his territory or what, but he couldn't get enough of him.
We would all get out of the car and Max would walk around to papa's side and grab his hand and walk him inside. He was all over him! He wanted nothing to do with me...which is very unusual.

When my dad would wake up in the mornings, Max would run over to him. My dad never got a break with Max around. Oh gosh...it was pretty cute! He has always been one to love the uncles and papas.
Oh yes we did! We rented a 15 passenger van for our drive to San Antonio. We've grown in numbers (even with half the family missing) that we no longer fit in one vehicle..and separating is just no fun. This was the best decision ever! It was quite comical.
Josh drove and we wanted so badly for him to go through a drive though. ha! We learned that it's very challenging to drink from a water bottle while going over a bump. You really bounce in the back of that thing! Max kept saying "were". We went downtown to the river walk and the outlets. It was hard to give it up at the end of the day!
Camdyn was happy that her boots matched Nana's.
The Alamo.
Above photo taken November of the preggo mamas...below in June when Brianne was visiting
(and I wasn't showing). We've all been pregnant while visiting San Antonio...and in front of this tree. Lots of new babies coming soon in the Hirschi family.
The boat tour...the kids always love this part.
Choosing sweets at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
Helping little bro up the stairs..
Love this photo of my mom and Teeg! He was going on and on about something I'm sure. ;)

There is something so special about watching my parents be grandparents. I love seeing my kids with them, having time with them, and loving them as much as I do.

My dad is Max's own personal jungle gym!
Playing with their cute little cousin, Ayzlee.
I came downstairs to the best sight ever. Love it when family is here!
,,,And when boys are out playing so we don't have to share the freshly baked cookies.
Girl time...shopping at Home Goods.  I had to bring them here since they had never been. We spent hours in this store. Our shopping cart got a little embarrassing. We had no idea we would even get some Christmas shopping in.
Eating bbq at Rudy's...
Mom had the great idea that we have a Thanksgiving meal early...since we were together anyway.
It was the perfect Sunday dinner.
Josh is caught using the selfie stick!
Our "mini" Thanksgiving..that ended up not being so mini. And guess who ate most of the leftovers...oops!
We ended the night playing one of our favorite games, Telestrations and eating Blue Bell ice-cream . You can always count on dad to give you a good ab work out from all the laughing.

Saying goodbye is never an easy thing. When we got home from the airport after dropping my parents off, Teeg said "I don't want my bed back...I just want more party nights!"
Until next time...which for Josh and I will be very soon. We're headed to Utah in a couple of weeks.
