Merry Christmas!

These warm Texas winters still seem foreign to us. 

The month of December we really miss our Idaho home...and long for the snow. It sure is nice to be outside and enjoy the warmth though.

We went for an evening walk on Christmas Eve, as Josh and the kids bounced a tennis ball back and forth the whole way and Max crashed in the stroller. 

Getting ready for our Christmas feast.. We even skipped Josh's family at the cabin and they were eating dinner at the same time. It was like we were all together...sort of. 

Yay for new jammies!

If there is one thing Max has taught us, it's we've lost all control. That traditional picture perfect pile up may never happen for us. That's ok though...looking through these made me laugh!

These are the sweetest...group hug.

Josh read and the kids put together our nativity from Jerusalem. (Thanks to Uncle Steven!)

Max you are too predictable...and I love you!!

Sometimes I feel for Max. He came in the room, took a look around for a bit, but it was too overwhelming. He hung back all morning not even wanting to be in the room, let alone opening gifts. He had no interest in new toys. 

Josh on the other hand...he got a drone from my parents and couldn't put the thing down, even when the kids wanted help putting things together. His inner child came out that morning..

We had some good laughs watching the videos he took flying that thing around the living room and in the backyard. 

Matching dresses for Camdyn and baby sister. She was pretty happy! Thanks grandma.

Playing in the mess is the best part!

We had "bubbly pancakes" and sausage and then the kids were out the door wanting to test out their new rollerblades in the jammies. The perk of having no snow!

*Sidenote: We do love Teegan too...his helmet just needed to be returned because it didn't fit. ha!

That evening Max came around and wanted to try out his new building blocks. Yay!
