Our Family's 10th Birthday in DISNEYLAND!!

For years, Josh and I dreamt about what our 10 year anniversary would look like, it typically involved beautiful sandy beaches somewhere tropical..and no kids. Instead we celebrated it as a family (minus Max) at Disneyland! It was the best way to do it..especially because our kids aren't getting any younger and we wanted to get them there. 

Waking up in our hotel day 1 of our vacation was the BEST ever!! I had a pinch me feeling. We've waited for this day since we became parents. I have very fond memories of going to Disneyland with my family as a kid and teenager, but oh my..taking our own kids is something special.

Highlights of our trip:

- character's autographs    - Camdyn's 'under the sea' music box she plays over and over'    - Teegan holding my hand (sadly doesn't happen much anymore with my 8 yr old)    - giddy kids (& adults) as we'd hop onto a new ride    - kids talking with Crush the turtle..they now think they are best friends    - Camdyn showing Elsa & Anna the pictures she drew of them    - All 4 of us could go on almost every ride together    - eating dole whips to cool us off in the 100 degree weather    - spooky decorations around the park    - Teeg building his own light saber and dancing/fighting with it lit up at night    - strategically planning our fast passes..Josh was good!   

 - dinner at Flo's dinner on Route 66    - sore cheeks from smiling so much!

Right out of the gate was Minnie Mouse. What a great start to the day.

Got their 'first visit to Disneyland' badges and feeling pretty cool.

First ride of the day...the Matterhorn. Camdyn didn't love the snow monster.

Post Splash Mountain picture which was definitely a fav..especially in this heat! 

We went on the Winnie the Pooh ride out of convenience and because there was no line. Teeg was unsure..and we didn't expect much but the kids were giggling throughout. It was adorable!

Because of the 2 hour time difference by 9:00 p.m. we were feeling pretty exhausted. Josh insisted we go on the submarine ride on our way and i'm so glad we did. It was pure magical in the dark water...seeing Nemo and all of his friends.
