It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I told the kids I wanted to make them a special breakfast on Saturday morning. They were pleased to be able to eat frosty on their plate.

The stockings were hung. First year having a mantel...it's so wonderful! We sure love huddling around the fireplace.

It was bitterly cold! The kids didn't seem to mind. They played hide and go seek around the trees.  

Time to decorate..

Teegan walked out of the door the other morning into the fog. I asked him if he would get lost on the way to the bus stop. He thought that was so funny!

I am so in love with her most recent drawing. This is the our family on Christmas morning. Notice how she drew mine and her hair crazy cause we just woke up and Santa's sleigh through the window. So cute!

Prepping for a ward Christmas breakfast. Max was my little helper..or at least he thinks he was. My kitchen was a disaster!

We went to the Seventh Day Adventist church, which is right next to our ward building, and they put on a live nativity. It's a big production. We traveled through Bethlehem, paid our taxes (pennies) to the tax collector, talked to the wise men and a shepherd while the kids got to touch the animals, followed the star and found baby Jesus in a manger. What a great experience it was! There were some members in our ward that played a part which was fun to see. We weren't fully prepared for the cold weather. The kid's were cold and I wasn't wearing socks. My feet were stinging but it was well worth it. The bread and hot cocoa at the end helped!

We were greeted by a camel. (On the left below..darn phone couldn't get a good photo!) 

 Love that these two have each other to build forts on their beds and talk about potions. :)
