Big 5 year old..

All About Camdyn at 5 years old: 

-She is our picky eater. We often hear her say.."i just want cereal"

Favorite colors: "pink and golden"

-loves jewelry and her jewelry box

-Loves riding her bike and making play dough creations

-Sassy as can be one minute and totally sweet the next

-bites her fingernails..loves to get her nails painted, but the polish never lasts more than a couple of hours

-enjoys doing art projects..especially if involves paint or glue

-loves going to preschool and seeing her friend Lily

-loves to snuggle 

Quotes...

-says the funniest things..the other night we were all in the car, Josh forgot his phone, ran to get it and when he got back Camdyn said, "dad you're freakishly annoying!" 

-Gives great prayers (example from the other night): "please help us to be nice to everyone in the world, and read our scriptures...and never cheat in games!" 

-When she has a bad dream..she doesn't usually want to get into bed with us. She just tip toes to our bedroom, wakes me up (always..never dad) and says, "will you say the good prayer?"..meaning pray that she will have good dreams, tuck her back in bed and she's good to go. It's so sweet. 

-At fhe one night Josh asked what the word 'repentance' means..camdyn responded.."i know...it's when you fall in love." Not even close..what a girly answer. :)

Camdyn's birthday is on April Fools day..but we decided to celebrate on Saturday, the day before Easter, while everyone was around. It sure made for a fun, hectic weekend. 

Her one request...a pony cake. She has a thing for ponies. Princess Celestia and Twilight Sparkle are her favorites. Teegan & I spent a lot of time picking out the perfect pony for her cake topper. 

Teegan put a lot of thought into her gift. He decided (on his own) to get her jewelry..which were earrings and a sparkly, jewel heart necklace..boy does he know his sister or what?! Along with a lego kit. She was telling Teegan his gift was her favorite and later when they were alone in the kitchen I saw her give him a kiss and hug. Oh so cute!

The party guests..aunts and uncles, nana and papa.

I get this look almost daily...

oh i'm worried about the teenage years.

Birthday parties are the best when you're a kid.
