..Spring Break..

For spring break we went to Outer Banks, North Carolina and stayed in a beach house, along with 7 other couples. It was a beautiful house! We each got our own bedroom (with king size beds) and bathrooms. There was a swimming pool, a game room with a pool table, and my favorite feature...an elevator. After a few days of running the three flights of stairs, it came in handy! The kids loved it too.




The first half of our week we had sunny 70 degree weather. On those days we were out at the beach for most of the day playing in the sand, flying kites, and collecting sea shells. Heaven on earth! I think I could do that everyday! Camdyn was thrilled. She constantly had a smile on her face even though she refused to play in the sand!

{Sidenote: I snapped this photo and had to run away because Teegan was playing with the crab's eyes. It grossed me out! Josh had to take care of the situation.}

My Beach Babe!!

So the first night we got there, the guys went to the beach late at night and Josh & Doug decided to go for a dip in the ICE cold water. Well, us girls had to prove ourselves. All we did was quickly run in and out...and it was painful!! In the photo below, it looks like I am being attacked by a shark, but it was shocking how cold the water was!



One of the highlights of our week, was our game nights. One night we played sardeens...it was like we were youngins again! It was pretty hilarious that all of us were scrambling around a dark house to find the person hiding. I even patted someone elses back- thinking it was Josh. oops. At one point in the game all 10-12 of us were crammed into a shower. It was pretty hilarious. Doug hid under a mattress in one of the bedrooms and it took a while to find him. It was pure genious.

Josh & I took a very enjoyable, kid-free walk one night on the beach. I love alone time with my hubby...especially since it's rare these days!

..The Aquarium..
On one of the cold days, we took a trip to the aquarium. That was probably the highlight of Teegan's week. He & Camdyn were fascinated with the crocodille, fish, turtles,sting-Rays, starfish and especially the sharks...which were surprisingly large! {He is still talking about their scary teeth!}

{Teeg was interested in the croc's teeth. Maybe he'll grow up to be a dentist too!}

Farewell OBX..we will certainly be back next year!
