Christmas Prep

We all made it to the cabin a couple of days before Christmas Eve. 

There was little time to spare. We got right to work...settling in, hanging our stockings, working on Christmas eve dinner, sugar cookies, and re-wrapping the Christmas gifts I brought because one snoopy little girl had to see what was hiding under a blanket in the car! :) But first off, we needed to find a tree. Always a fun adventure!

Papa found an app that showed where Santa was and how many gifts he had delivered. The kids thought it was awesome! 

 The kids were happy with their green grinch tongues...from licking lots of sprinkles from the sugar cookies they decorated.

Josh was the narrator for the nativity. Afterwards he asked why the birth of Christ was so important. The littler kids wandered off, but Teegan and Ella was so cute as they tried to answer his questions. It was fun listening to them try to explain that Christ was a king..but not with a crown or anything. :) 

Yay for new Christmas jammies! 

Writing letters to Santa. Camdyn mostly wanted to draw a picture for him..but Teegan and Ella were diligent. They had some questions that Santa really had to put some thought into answering. And apparently Teegan thinks he's on the "super good list". 

Teegan also requested we bring the makings for the reindeer food. They sure gobble that stuff up!

 Cookies, milk, and letters were laid out. Kid's were tucked into bed. (Josh and I and the three kids stayed in this bedroom. It was tight and cozy..and actually really fun.) Then us adults got busy playing some games and eating treats. Sure love this time of year!
